When Arseweb started up in 1994, there weren't any other Arsenal sites at all. Now there are a few more, and many of them are very very good...

| | Top : Fan Sites (13) | | | | | | | Sites: [size=-1](Page 1 > 1-13 of 13) | | - Arsenal Land - One of my favourites. A variety of opinionated but intelligent writers providing articles and match reports. And unlike on Arseweb, you get a chance to mouth off at (or with) them online.
- Arsenal World - One of the very earliest sites, and currently part of the footy-mad chain, Chris Parry's site is excellent for news, features, forums and more.
- The Online Gooner - Web version of the famous fanzine, loads to read.
- Highbury High - Online presence of the printed fanzine, with highlights from that, and a very handy online pub guide.
- EuroArsenal - All Arsenal's results in European competitions, a page per season.
- Highbury Heroes - 'Dedicated to preserving the memory of our beloved Highbury Stadium and all who have played on its hallowed turf over the last 93 years.' Promising, but mostly 'under construction'. Promising, because what is there includes excellent pages with pictures of celebrity Arsenal fans and former players each holding up a ('redcurrant') Arsenal shirt.
- Arsenal Unlimited - Quite limited so far, but it does have a goal clips downloads section.
- Gooners Web - A reasonably active forum (and that's all).
- ANR (Arsenal News Review) - An idiosyncratic site, making it a good read. Main columnist Myles Palmer is more of a Myles Palmer fan than an Arsenal fan, but his interesting/irritating ramblings are nicely offset by Ian Grant. He's a real fan whose concise and revealing (but not as frequent as we'd like) round-ups of Arsenal stories from the media are as good a way of keeping up with things as they were back when he started ANR started here, as Arseweb News Reviews.
- Gunners4Life.com - Nicely up to date, with news and opinion on all Arsenal matters. With a forum and fun features like weekly polls and "man of the moment".
- Arsenalvision - A new site (Jan 07) which looks promising. Nicely biased articles and a feature which is a bit different called the AV Chat - nice home-made magazine style TV programmes for download, with analysis and interviews with fans.
- Arsenal Mania - Well-updated, with occasional interesting articles. But... rather tabloidy in its tendency to regurtitate the news feeds, and report rumour as fact. Black text on a dark red background is bloody hard to read so it's just as well that almost all the content is available elsewhere.
- The Gooner Forum - A Forum for Gooners. Seems to be reasonably busy but not a huge number of regular users.

' r% z4 e& e H0 A* S/ g/ ]) q& ebbs.arsenal.com.cn | | Top : Blogs (24) | | Blogs are a matter of taste. Regular ramblings from a fans perspective, but how much you get out of it probably depends on how your own perspective compares. There's a lot of entertaining stuff in many of these, and if there's very little written in some of the descriptions below, it's just because we haven't had a chance to read them. If you're a regular at one of these, why not let us know what sets it apart from the rest? I don't have time to keep track of them all. | | | | | | Sites: [size=-1](Page 1 > 1-24 of 24) | | - Arseblog - "It's f***ing excellent", it says. And it's not far wrong. Informative and entertaining, and with an archive of the arseblogger's musings going back to February 2002. Also features Leopold Mendacious's famous ANR columns.
- Arsenal Shorts - Frequently-updated news briefs from the fans' perspective and with a nice sense of humour.
- Gunnerblog - Archives back to July 2004.
- Arsenal Talk - Archives back to August 2004.
- East Lower - Started in 2003 but archives go to March 2005.
- Arsenal, Wtf? - Archives back to July 2004.
- All Goonerd Up - As well as the blog, there's a few other bits and pieces like a 'goonerbabe' section and the unique 'trump card' based players pages.
- Highbury 1913 - Started in Jan 2006. 'News with a little comment' more than a blog, perhaps.
- My Bloody Arsenal - Started November 2005.
- Goodplaya - In addition to the blogs, this one features straight-talking match-by-match player ratings. Archives back to November 2004.
- The Brooklyn Gooner - From Brooklyn.
- Arsenal Muse - Rambling writing with a distinctive and entertaining style. Shame about the yellow text on black but worth a visit if your eyes can take it. Archives back to Nov 2004.
- Arsenal Talk - Archives back to summer 2004.
- Boni's Arsenal Blog - "...for people who are tired of badly reported and sensationalized media stories, written by people who have no idea about the club. For a more insightful view of everything Arsenal, Boni's Arsenal Blog is the place for you." Not necessarily insights that we'd all agree with, mind, but that's the joy of blogs. Archives back to Sept 2005.
- ArseWars - It does have normal blog-type articles but it's more of a humour site, mostly piss-taking of other clubs (as evidenced by the fact that there are nearly as many articles in the 'Spurs' category as the 'Arsenal' one). Run by Arsenal supporters in South Africa but with contributors all over the world, apparently. Archives back to Nov 2005.
- LG's Arsenal Blog - Thoughts and opinions about Arsenal games, players and teams from a personal perspective. Archives back to July 2005.
- Liam Brady's Left Shinpad - 'A Tel Aviv Gooner's descent into blogdom'. Seems to have levelled off in summer 2005, shame.
- Arsedup - Archives back to December 2005.
- Arsenal 4 Life - A very new one, archives back to Feb 2006.
- Arsenal Clips Blog - Arsenal video clips including goals, highlights & interviews.
- A Cultured Left Foot - Arsenal-centred daily musings on the world Of football.
- The Mohair Diaries - Arsenal slanted daily views on life from a helpdesk Gooner, going back to 2005. Succinct and interesting.
- Inside Arsenal - Nice Blog-plus with info and forums as well as several blogging contributors. Started Nov 2006, looking good so far.
- Just What The Doctor Ordered - Certainly comes up with some different stuff. Recent examples include commentary on other teams games (because they featured Arsenal players out on loan) and a thorough analysis of metatarsal fractures. Well worth a look.
